Complete Member Success Program (MSP)

The BNI Member Success Program (MSP) is a foundational training designed to equip BNI members with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use the BNI system. This program is offered in two formats:

1) Online Learning Platform (BNI Academy): either using BNI's online learning platform, advancing through multiple training modules at your own pace, answering questions until all the modules are completed OR

2) Online Zoom Training: attending a live 2-hour, instructor-led, Zoom training session with other members in your region.

Both formats will cover key aspects -  like giving and receiving referrals, conducting effective one-to-ones, tracking your activity and understanding BNI policies and procedures. Choose the format that fits your learning style and complete MSP within the first 90 days of membership.

BNI Member Success Program (MSP) FAQs

What is the BNI Member Success Program (MSP)?
The BNI Member Success Program (MSP) is a foundational training designed to equip BNI members with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use the BNI system. It covers key aspects like giving and receiving referrals, conducting effective one-to-ones, and understanding BNI policies and procedures.

Why is MSP important for all BNI members?
MSP helps members understand the "why" and "how" behind BNI's proven system. Completing MSP empowers members to generate more qualified referrals, build stronger relationships, and contribute more meaningfully to their chapter's growth and profitability. It's essential for maximizing individual and chapter success.

How often should members complete MSP?
While designed for new members, it's highly recommended for all members to periodically refresh their understanding of BNI best practices by re-attending MSP or reviewing its content as part of their participation in the Chapter Education Unit (CEU) program. This ensures everyone stays aligned with the strategies for success. Members transferring chapters or joining again after a break should also retake the training in the first month of their new membership.

How can chapter leaders find out which members have completed MSP?
Chapter leaders, including the President, Vice President, and Mentor Coordinator, can access this information through the BNI Connect website. Navigate to the Reports menu and then find the Member Training Report. Select *Member Success Program to see who has not completed the training yet in your chapter, check the box to show those needing to complete the training.

What are the benefits of a chapter where all members have completed MSP?
Chapters with a high percentage of MSP-trained members generally experience stronger engagement, higher referral numbers, increased visitor attendance, and overall greater chapter profitability. Members are more proficient in passing quality referrals, giving effective weekly presentations, delivering impactful feature presentations and supporting each other's businesses, leading to a more vibrant and successful chapter environment.
